I like to mention details as under :
I had purchased IFB Washing Machine on 08.11.2015 and the same has been functioning well for the last 4 years. However, about four months back we did notice a little smell/smoke from running machine and thereafter we did not use the machine for about 4 months. On 11.9.2020 I had contacted your toll free no. and a mechanic from your local service centre visited the machine and the same has run well before him. When we told him about little smoke/smell noticed/felt by us, the mechanic suggested to get the rubber set replaced with new one and further told us its cost Rs.1500/-, which will be supplied by the Company within 15 days. On that day he collected cash Rs.500/- as visiting fee, which we paid.
On 25.09.2020, he came along with a Rubber Set to be replaced and we also noticed very casual approach in replacing Rubber Set (while replacing no surface area etc. on which rubber was to be set, was cleaned with any duster/cloth etc. to remove any accumulated moist/dust etc. and then he further suggested to get the machine serviced.
After fixing the Rubber Set, he had packed the existing rubber set (which was removed from the machine).
I insisted him to not to take the existing rubber along with him as I have made cash payment for the one brought by him. (the existing Rubber Set appeared to me in very good condition and needed only cleaning) The mechanic informed that the old one is to be sent back to the Company otherwise it will cost Rs.2500/- instead of Rs.1500/-. Hence, he collected the existing rubber set also and went, giving me the copy of the 'Mandatory Visit Job Card' on which at Customer Signature place he himself put his initials.
In this regard I may bring to you notice that he did not bring any Bill for the Rubber Set.
After raising the matter at your toll free no. on 25.09.20 itself, today on 26.09.20 I have received mobile call from your Service Centre, that the Bill along with Rubber Set will be sent back to you now. Here I am apprehending (why the mechanic collected the existing Rubber Set removed from the machine which does not require to be sent back to the IFB at all). Since he brought the Rubber Set without any Bill and might have put any pre-used Rubber Set and the existing one which removed from my machine may be used further in future to another customer's machine later on without bill as is done with me collecting full payment.
Hence, totally dissatisfied from your local Service Centre and Centre's mechanic and also feel cheated/looted.
Can you please satisfy my doubts about following points in context to above narration :
Whether the local Service Centre did not have stock of that Rubber Set on the date of Mechanic's first visit on 12/13 th Sept.2020. If the stock with them was available then it should have been replaced within 2 or 3 succeeding working days.
2. If stock was not available with the Service Centre whether new stock has been despatched to them and the item (Rubber Set) which is affixed in my W/Machine is really genuine/original and new from the stock sent afresh by the Co. It can be verified from the batch no./serial no.of item. (Doubt arises as to why Mechanic is collecting old set from the Customer - despite resistence, in my case).
3. To ascertain the motive of Mechanic or Service Centre in collecting the replaced items without the consent of customers ( Should it not be perceived that they are further re-using the Rubber Set to another customer and will charge full price as of new)
and causing financial loss to customers as well as Company.
4. Why bill is not sent along with the item if it was a new one.
5. Why mechanic did not get signatures of customer on Job Card and instead put his initials himself and handed over the same to me.
Without removal of my apprehensions to above points, I feel I have been cheated/looted by you Company's Mechanic/Service Centre, which compels me to inform and brief to my social circle via social media who have already purchased IFB durable articles to be aware of such things happening with IFB Service Centre/s. If the pre-used items is replaced in my machine the same thing might be happening with the Company's other Service Centres also, which may lead to defamation of the..
I shall be thankful if you clarify to above points relieve me of doubts and if above doubts are true then the Company must take corrective measures to break the nexus.
